New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in New York peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Absolutely loved PLANTA! Everything we had was delicious and beautifully presented. The Bang Bang Broccoli was crispy, flavorful and seriously addictive, and the Korean Chick’n Sandwich was fantastic β€” perfectly seasoned, satisfying and easily one of the best plant-based sandwiches I’ve had. We also tried the Volcano Roll, which was another highlight, with great flavors and texture. And even though we were already pretty full, the Sticky Rice Pudding for dessert was absolutely worth it and the perfect way to finish the meal. What impressed me most is that nothing felt like a β€œsubstitute” for non-vegan food β€” these are simply really good, creative dishes in their own right. Great atmosphere, beautiful presentation and a menu that makes you want to come back and try more. Definitely one of the highlights of our food experiences in New York. 5 stars and highly recommended!

This restaurant is beautifully designed, and the atmosphere was buzzing on a Sunday lunchtime. I was given three menus, the main menu with specials, a brunch menu and a drinks menu, and all the options sounded delicious - it was hard to decide. I ordered summer rolls to start which were refreshing and served with two perfect spicy sauces. My main course was β€˜drunken chicken’ a saucy stir fry with delicious vegetables and mushrooms with really delicious plant-based chicken. The service was exceptional, three different helpful servers looked after me during lunch. I would love to work my way through this menu, and come back for Maki Mondays!

My family and I had lunch at Planta New York today, and it was an excellent experience. We came with my parents and my wife, and every dish we ordered was full of bold, well-balanced flavors. It’s an outstanding spot for vegetarians (and even non-vegetarians) because the menu offers a wide variety of creative, flavorful plant-based dishes. Our favorites were the Singapore Noodles, Dan Dan Noodles, Japanese Sweet Potatoes, Rainbow Rolls, and the Brussels Sprouts. Even though the Brussels sprouts were fried, my parents absolutely loved them because they were so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The food was beautifully presented, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere made for a relaxing lunch. If you’re looking for a vegetarian restaurant that goes beyond the usual options and serves inventive dishes packed with flavor, Planta is definitely worth a visit. We’ll certainly be back to try more of the menu.

We got a pick up order and were all blown away by the quality and flavors and textures that we experienced! The sushi, bao, fried mushrooms, bang bang broccoli, udon were just plain delicious! Then the cheesecake!! My goodness! Hopefully soon we will get a chance to sit down in the restaurant and enjoy the food along with the atmosphere but the at home experience was beyond our expectations!

Great service, amazing vibe. Plenty of seating. Weekday nights happy hour menu was a welcome surprise. Spicy tuna maki roll and the fried mushroom hand roll from the happy hour menu were great options. Interesting dessert options as well, the Olive Oil carrot cake with vanilla ice cream and walnuts was amazing. There's a very bright table lamp on almost every table on the inside, possibly to help folks with photography though can get annoying.
